Choosing an online print service

  • There are many online printing services, either local or with world wide coverage. Pick one you have good experience with, or from the list below (no affiliate, just examples):

  • It is good to have some feedback from friends or through online review before choosing the printing service.

  • Once you have decided, pay special attention to the type of file they want and accept. If they have some internal optimizations, it can be used, but care should be applied as pictures often seem very bright on the screen and can end up darker once printed. In doubt, it can be a good approach to print a small 3x5 standard photo before going for the large aluminium print in 150x60cm!

  • Pictures will always look better with high quality paper. You can choose glossy or shiny paper too. Personal preference. If choosing a frame, always leave some space between frame and photo. New approach of aluminium or glass provide amazing results but are more expensive. Most of the pictures can get large prints (ask for confirmation if you want really large print). It can be nice to have 2 or 3 pictures with different size or orientation to create great visual effects
